Honouring Our Beginnings: A Journey Towards 100 Years5 September 2026 | Lobate Centre, LuwinguToday, the Sisters of the Child Jesus gathered at Lobate Centre in Luwingu to honour the beginnings of the Congregation as we journey towards its 100th anniversary.The celebration paid tribute to Sr. Theresa Ngosa Nshindano, who became the first Sister to join the Congregation in 1926. Her response to God's call marked the beginning of a journey of faith, dedication and service that continues to inspire generations of Sisters.As we look back with gratitude and forward with hope, we celebrate the legacy of those who came before us and the continued mission of the Sisters of the Child Jesus.100 years of grace. 100 years of service. We are delighted to launch the new website of the Sisters of the Child Jesus. Through this platform, we hope to share our story, our mission, and our journey of faith with the world.

The entry into the novitiate is a significant event in our congregation, held every December. It marks the beginning of a two-year formal stage of formation for our novices.

First professions are held in December each year, where our novices make their first temporary vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

The celebration of Final, Silver, Diamond, and Platinum vows is a momentous occasion held on 8th December (unless moved due to special events). This day coincides with the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.
